ERIC ANDERS & MARK O'BITZ
Singer-songwriter Eric Anders and his longtime collaborator, guitarist-composer Mark O'Bitz, released their critically-acclaimed four-song EP, This Mortal Farce, around Halloween 2020. This will be their fourth main release in three years. They released American Bardo in the summer of 2020, Ghost To Ancestors in the summer of 2019, and their debut album as a duo Of All These Things in the summer of 2018. See below for the releases they have coming in the near future.
"The music is laid back, richly woven, contemplative, and inviting. The vocals are hushed, gentle, whisperstrong.... This, friends, is what that whole singer/songwriter movement is all about: one man with a vision, a unique voice, solid instrumentation, and words that can—and will—open your eyes.
"With a voice that combines James Taylor's grounded poignancy with Jeff Buckley's complex ethereality, west coast singer/songwriter Eric Anders creates gorgeous, wistful 'Sunday Morning' music unlike that of any other contemporary artist."
- Gail Worley, Worley Gig
"This might have been what it was like when people heard Simon & Garfunkel for the first time."
- Joshua Macala, Raised by Gypsies
"Matterbloomlight is an amazing track. With lyrics as true and honest, Anders and O’Bitz remind me of the way an acoustic guitar can fill your soul to the brim."
- Erica Garcia, Audible Addixion
"Eric Anders and Mark O’Bitz’s album, Of All These Things, is something truly special. Melodically, lyrically, and generally stunning... an outstanding piece of work."
- Made Shaw, The Weekly Spoon
